The Specialist Pack pre-order bonus
The Metro 2039 pre-order bonus is the Specialist Pack. It unlocks three backpack blueprints early: Equipment, Chemtech, and Munitions. Deep Silver says you can equip only one pouch at a time. Steam lists the pack as its own DLC, app 4177190.
I opened Steam app 4177190 and the Deluxe upgrade app 5332130, then compared them with Deep Silver’s pre-order post. The DLC page exists, so the pack is a real store item, not a rumor. The post is clearer than the store blurb about what each pouch does. Neither page says whether the pack stays on sale after release.
The three pouches
Equipment Specialist Pouch is described as faster crafting of weapons and gear. Chemtech Specialist Pouch is more filters and cleaner equipment. Munitions Specialist Pouch is rarer or stronger ammunition. Those are Deep Silver’s words, not measured percentages. No official post gives a numeric bonus.
The Deluxe Edition Upgrade (Steam 5332130) is a different SKU. It is how a Standard owner moves to Deluxe. It is not the Specialist Pack.
Questions
Can I use all three pouches together?
No. Deep Silver says only one specialist pouch can be equipped at a time.
Is the Specialist Pack sold after launch?
Not stated. Treat the current listing as a pre-order offer until the publisher says otherwise.
Is the story expansion the same as the Specialist Pack?
No. The story expansion is a Deluxe item planned for 2027. The Specialist Pack is the pre-order gear.
