Metro 2039 releases on 4 February 2027
Metro 2039 is scheduled for 4 February 2027 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC. Steam, the PlayStation Store date, Xbox, and Deep Silver agreed on that day when I checked them on 16 October 2026. A few regions, including parts of Asia and Australia, are listed as 5 February 2027.
I lined up the Steam release_date field (still “Feb 4, 2027”, coming soon), the 3 September 2026 PlayStation.Blog post, and the Xbox game page. None of them had moved the date. What they still do not say is the local unlock hour, the preload window, or the download size.
What is confirmed
The date was public by 3 September 2026, when PlayStation.Blog posted console gameplay and the February date. Deep Silver’s own game page uses the same day. PlayStation Store metadata captured for this guide includes the timestamp 2027-02-04T16:00:00Z. That is a store field, not a promise that every region unlocks at 16:00 UTC.

Delay rumors
I could not find an official delay notice. Older rumor posts from before the April 2026 reveal are not a current date change. Until Deep Silver or 4A Games publish a new date, the page you should trust is the store date, not a forum thread.
Pre-order is already open on the official stores. The purchase paths are on the download page. Edition differences are on the editions page.
Questions
Is the Metro 2039 release date the same on every platform?
Yes. PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC share 4 February 2027 in the store listings we checked. Regional storefronts can show 5 February.
Can I preload Metro 2039 yet?
No preload time has been announced. The stores sell a pre-order, which is not the same as a downloadable build.
Was Metro 2039 delayed?
Not in any official notice as of 16 October 2026. The published date is still 4 February 2027.
